ec - the quest for cp 2

From SandyBottom: 48.5 miles today, including a rough 7 mile open water crossing half with exhausting winds.  Camping early 9pm.  The east winds look to stay so fueling up, and getting lots of sleep for the long slog tomorrow.  And, still having fun.

ec cp1

wild and crazy day/night at CP 1 - long talk with Ridgerunner in a DreamCatcher who has stories to tell; he may be pulling out do to aka failure (old style) - wind is whipping and building through the day; Toby (Whitecaps) ambassador doing his motivational speaking to keep participants in the event.

It's all happening - the last supper

Here is a word from MicroTom - he's doing the big loop with SandyBottom; both are sporting DreamCatchers; it's 225 am and the breeze is brisk - howling might be a better word for it.

Lots of fun seeing old friends and new ones too. Chief's captains meeting speech is always entertaining and informative. Big thanks to the race manager Paula Martel and all of the volunteers.

Pre race dinner at Marcos Pizzeria with Paddling partner SandyBottom and her son SOS was outstanding. Will definitely eat there again.
