Tribute to an Area Legend

While on the banks of the Grand River in 1983, a then 10-year-old Krause said she met Verlen Kruger, a canoe enthusiast. Fascinated by him, Krause said it was the beginning of a friendship that would last until Kruger died in 2004. more.....

Grand River Expedition 2010

The Grand River Expedition starts next Thursday July 14th, 2010. The expedition takes 13 days and covers 125 miles. As of now over 59 canoes are entered for the entire trip and day trippers will bring the avg. to 100 canoes on the water.

It's all happening...



Verlen was placed on his rock Wednesday afternoon at 5:00; wrapped for the unveiling on Saturday, those that took part took pause. It is an amazing thing to be apart of something so grand with the support of so many people.
